What's better than watching The Sandlot? Watching The Sandlot at an historic baseball field!

Join us for a fun evening at Cardines Field in Newport as we watch The Sandlot on a 40-foot wide screen in the setting of an historic baseball field.

Here's some info for the night:

Admission: The event is FREE!!! No tickets required. There will be free popcorn and water for the first 400 people.

When: Friday, September 2. Gates open at 7:30 and the movie will begin at 8:00pm.

The movie: We will be watching The Sandlot. You can find info about the movie here - The Sandlot

The setup: Cardines Field has been the location of baseball games since 1908. A 40-foot screen will be set up on the field facing the first base line and we will use that side of the stadium for seating. However, if we need to use more of the stadium for seating, we may position the screen differently. Also, seating is standard stadium bleacher seating. Feel free to bring a cushion or something to make your seat more comfortable.

Parking: Parking is available at the Newport Visitor's Center, located across America's Cup Avenue from Cardines Field. Here's a link to info on parking there: http://www.discovernewport.org/visitor-center

Fee-based parking is also available at lots on West Marlborough Street. Metered parking is available on Thames Street, about one block from the stadium.

Outside food & drink is acceptable.  *non-alcoholic drinks only please
